Judges School
This year, the Judges training will
take place the Day of Event.
May 9th

Meetihg with George Ewart: 9:45am

Judging begins at 10:30am

(George Ewart is a trained Kansas City Royal Judge. He travels all over the South Competing and Winning BBQ Contests. He volunteers his time each year to be our technical expert.)

Friday, May 8th


8am - 4pm- Cooks/corporate sponsor and Vendor check-in, booth/tent set-up, supervised cooking may begin

6pm - Cooking School begins for VIPs/Corporate Sponsors featuring Big Bob Gibson's Chris Lilly, 7 time world-class BBQ champion and professional barbecue chef

7:30pm - Band - Lonesome Coyotes


Saturday, May 9th

 

Open to the public - Featuring musical entertainment, Mayoral regatta - see which Mayor will sink, swim, or paddle to the finish line first

Judging Schedule
9:45am - Judges report for judging school - Judges will be notified in advance for location

10:30am - Chicken Judging
11:00am - Ribs Judging
11:30am - Pulled Pork Judging
Noon - Anything But... Judging

 

4:45pm - WINNERS ANNOUNCED
